Book Cover Photograhpers Research

Dave Wall is a photographer that produces illustrative photography for book cover and advertisements. Book cover wise, his covers are often described as haunting and sometimes disturbing. He has a passion for using weird locations away from tourist trails and places that others would not usually use, combinded with his fantastic retouching and editing skills to create covers for world famous authors. He is now closely linked with the Crime and Horror book cover genre.

I like Dave Walls' work because it is all very simple yet can be interpreted as terrifying. The book cover he creates does not show the audience a lot apart from a great impression of the genre of the book. His editing style is very extreme which really excites me because I usually like pictures that have been edited this way. It creates the correct atmosphere and to be honest some of his picture send a chill down my spine just by looking at them.
