Roger Sargent
Roger was exiled from South Africa at the age of 15 and being a Smiths fan the only lifeline he had to follow the band was music magazines. NME became his favourite and he vowed one day that he would work with them. After attending photography college in Newport, 1993 he ended up exactly where he wanted to be.

He has worked with Rolling Stone, Mojo, Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, NME, I.D. Magazine and Melody Maker. His book and exhibition, The Boys in the Band, documented the rise and fall of the Libertines and gave us a insight into one of the UK’s most influential bands, His early work with Oasis and Nirvana has given us some of the most classic images of that period. He has also worked with artist such as Rage Agaisnt the Machine, Paul Weller, The Kooks and Marilyn Manson.

"He has most recently won critical and popular acclaim for two major exhibitions, The Libertines - Boys In The Band and Future Legends, and has been called “the UK's most important music photographer"(The Guardian)."
