Lionel Deluy a French photographer, has been labelled as an 'intense' photographer, who's photos have a definitive look. All his photos capture a certain raw edge of the model and they portray people in such a way that the public is not used to seeing; the models are not always glammed up and looking perfect, most of his photos have a slightly more grundgy feel to them. He has worked with people such as Angelina Jolie, Dita Von Teese, Gary Oldman and Ryan Gosling. Also he has worked with brands such as Reebok, American Appeal and Dita, and some of the world's best magazines such as Vogue, Elle and French Photo.

I like these images because of the way the look, I like the way he's taken them and I like the way he's edited them to make them look very raw and a bit dirty. I feel as it really shows the models in a different way to anyone else; they still looked airbrushed in some of his photos but they don't all look perfect.

Dita Von Teese is a perfect example of an old fashioned, glamorous pin-up girl but everyone knows she has a very erotic side and I personally think that Deluy has managed to represent the two sides of her so well. She is the main inspiration to my whole idea.  

 

 This one of Angelina Jolie I particularly like because she's shown in the media as a very glamorous lady and to have a photograph that pulls out her more rebellious side is a fantastic twist on her personality.
